i need someone to help me understand smth. i don't get how ppl can make the effort to be part of someone's life, be there for a time and then just decide that maybe they don't wanna do it anymore and just leave. i know it can't be expected for everyone to be FRIENDS FOREVER and super close to everyone else all the time. what i don't get is.. WHY did these ppl bother in the first place? these ppl i'm talking abt usually make the first move. they're extremely friendly. and they're always there. until.. they start backing away. it's slow at first but you can tell immediately. they stop chatting, calling, msging...everything. and even when you step up, when you make the effort to communicate.. the reponse (if any) is minimal and very half-hearted. and that eats you up inside cause you wish they'd just make the effort to respond. we never know why these ppl drift away. maybe these people just have other things to do. maybe they have others' lives to be a part of. or maybe you just stop being important enough to them. you never know cause these ppl don't bother explaining now, do they? they just.. go. and that leaves us guessing and trying to figure it out ourselves. more often than not, we can't. and that just sucks.
